Faced with persistent garbage stench, the Vadodara Municipal Corporation opted for a fragrant solution. The VMC is procuring 44,000 kg of lemon-scented powder to mask the odor from waste transfer sites. While not a disinfectant, officials found the powder effective in controlling stench after successful trials following last year's floods, costing the corporation Rs 14.8 lakh.
