The menace of liquor is increasing day by day in many villages of the pilgrimage town of Becharaji as well as the taluka area. There has been an increase in the number of deaths at a young age, incidents of theft, non-activities including anti-social elements. The villagers of Ruppura in Bahucharaji have submitted an application to the Mamlatdar office, Bahucharaji as well as the local police station to stop the abuses of liquor and gambling in villages including Rooppura. The petition states that due to the death of many youths at a young age due to illegal activities like country liquor and gambling in Ruppura village for many years, many women are suffering due to widowhood at a young age. Due to the consumption of domestic and foreign liquor as well as gambling, many anti-social elements in Ruppura Primary School, damage to the property of the drunk school, disturbing peace in the village, etc. are increasing. In Ruppura village, the sale and supply of domestic and foreign liquor is going on in large numbers. The abuse has increased to such an extent that educated people have been forced to leave the village and stay outside. The daughters of the village go to study in places including Chadasana, Nadasa, Balol, Mehsana for college and secondary education. When the road from Asjol to Ruppura Vav is to come, it is afraid to pass through the area, including the roads, due to anti-social elements roaming around, as well as legal action to avoid any untoward incident in the future. Several industries have been set up in the area, including the pilgrimage town of Becharaji. Thousands of people live in the area for employment, but domestic and foreign liquor is sold openly in the area, due to which there has been an increase in anti-social activities including theft, robbery in the villages including the taluka.
