A young man, distraught after his wife eloped, was rescued from the Dadhichi Bridge in Ahmedabad on Friday. Congress MLA Imran Khedawala and bystanders intervened, spending several minutes counselling the 25-year-old from Surendranagar to step back from the railing. After assurances, he was safely brought down and handed over to the police for further assistance, visibly shaken by his personal crisis.
