Bhaskar Investigation: 21 years ago, a former MLA was allotted plots in 10 villages by forging his signature in the land committee of Rajkot taluka panchayat

There is an age-old scheme to give free household plots in villages. In which plots are given to build houses in the village. However, there have been irregularities in the allotment of plots in villages around Rajkot. Bhaskar had initiated a probe into the irregularities among these. The record of the land disposal committee had the presence of the only MLA other than the taluka panchayat. Showing the record to the then MLA Siddharth Parmar, he proved that the signature was forged and not his. According to the records of Rajkot Taluka Panchayat, a meeting of the Land Committee was held on 19-09-2005 to allot 100 square yard plots. The committee has ordered free plots in villages including Sokhda, Kuchiyad, Khijadia. The meeting was attended by Taluka Panchayat President H.B. Jadeja, MLA Siddharth Parmar, Taluka Nyaya Samiti Chairman Govind Pola and Taluka Development Officer K.K. Dave was present. Viewed in this way, there was only one person other than the Taluka Panchayat i.e. the MLA. After verifying the records of the matter to former MLA Siddharth Parmar through a complainant, he said that it was not his signature. Which proves that the panchayat has closed the matter by forging signatures to give plots to the favourites. Committee meeting 2 days before announcement of election Elections were announced in October 2005, so the date of the land committee is a few days earlier. Whatever raises suspicion. Names were written to show attendance even though he was not at the meeting The meeting was attended by the taluka panchayat president, the chairman of the social justice committee and the taluka development officer. If there are only panchayat officials in the land committee, direct involvement will be opened. Although he did not attend the meeting of the Land Committee, the then Mamlatdar P.M. The names of Dobria and Wankaner MLA Joshanaben Somani were written but their signatures were not taken. I was in Pakistan at that time, we will get all the papers checked I was in Pakistan when the land committee met. The government had sent me as a representative of Panchayati Raj. I am also shocked to see Siddharthbhai's letter and now I have doubts about my signature. For this reason, the current TDO has been asked to remove all the daily work and records. > H.B. Jadeja, former president of Taluka Panchayat Rajkot
