A case has come to light in Gandhinagar where the terror of moneylenders is crossing the border. The moneylender of Vavol has paid a total of Rs 1.5 lakh per week, including interest and penalty, against a capital of just Rs 7 lakh from a young trader who runs a hardware shop in Randesan area. A complaint has been lodged against him for snatching Rs 72 lakh. A case has been registered at Infocity police station after the moneylender threatened to throw the businessman into a canal and kill him even after collecting such a huge amount. The complainant took the money on the condition of 10 per cent interest
According to the complaint, 25-year-old Hitharth Shailesh Patel, a resident of New Vadaj area of Ahmedabad and running a Gayatri Hardware shop at Maruti Magnum Complex in Randesan, was in need of money about a year and a half ago. He came in contact with Bhavesh Mavjibhai Rabari (r/o Vavol) through Shahul Desai, who was acquainted with him. At that time, Bhavesh had given Rs 7,00,000 in a piece between June and July 2024 on the condition of 10 per cent interest. However, against this amount, he paid Rs. He demanded an interest of Rs 1,50,000 and started collecting a penalty of thousands of rupees per day for delay. The accused threatened to throw him into the canal
Eventually, Hitharth stopped paying interest due to lack of money, so in February 2025, Bhavesh Rabari went to his shop and collected it. He threatened to throw you into the canal if he did not pay the interest money. In his complaint, Patel has claimed that between June 2024 and August 2025, he withdrew Rs 1,000 crore from different bank accounts. 17,00,000 and Rs.
