A survey was conducted by the Municipal Corporation in Ahmedabad city. According to the survey, 8,767 houses in Ahmedabad city are under cuts and they will have to be given alternative arrangements. The AMC had conducted a survey on the issue of houses going into road cuts in Ahmedabad. Road will be given a house by the AMC to the landlords who have been cut. However, only those who have lived at the site before 2010 and go to 50 percent of the house cuts will be given the house. The houses will go under cuts for different development works. The housing scheme building will be allotted by the AMC for alternative facility. 994 houses in north west zone, 512 houses in south west zone, 1429 houses in west zone, 1475 houses in north zone, lowest 133 houses in central zone, highest 3348 houses in south zone, 876 houses in east zone will be reduced. Estate and Town Planning Committee Chairman Pritish Mehta and Deputy Chairman Yogesh Patel said that a survey was conducted if all roads were to be opened in the city. Under which details about the houses going into the road cut have come to light. Out of which 8,767 houses have to be given as alternative arrangements. If there is pre-2010 construction and if more than 50 per cent of the deduction is going on, then those people are allotted houses as an alternative arrangement under the policy
Houses will be demolished in these areas
The highest number of 1475 houses will have to be arranged in Kubernagar, Sardarnagar, Thakkarbapanagar and Saraspur-Rakhial, while 1429 houses will have to be arranged in areas including Gota, Chandlodia, Navrangpura, Naranpura Vasana, Paldi in the western region.
