Gang rape of minor in Vansda: Minor girl abducted and raped by 8 men

A 17-year-old girl was allegedly gang-raped by eight men in a village in Vasda taluka of Navsari district. The men abducted the minor girl who came out of the house to relieve herself and took her to a room and raped her and threatened to kill her. The police have arrested all the eight accused in the incident within a few hours and further investigation is underway. Three men abducted and summoned five others According to information received from the Vansda police station, the 17-year-old girl had stepped out of the house to go to the toilet around 10.30 pm on Wednesday. In the meantime, three youths squeezed his mouth and forcibly made him sit on a bike and abducted him and took him to the check dam. Five other men were called there. He threatened to kill her and raped her. The eight miscreants took the minor to a room near a water tank. There, he threatened to kill the minor and took advantage of her helplessness and gang-raped her in turn. The mother of the victim has lodged a complaint at the Vansda police station. The police have arrested all eight persons The police took swift action in the matter and registered a case under POCSO and other stringent sections and intensified the investigation. The police have arrested Nikhil, Piyush, Sahil, Ravindra, Akash, Rahul and a minor and further investigation is underway. 'The accused later left the minor at home' DySP Bhagirath Singh Gohil said that the minor's friends abducted her and raped her against her will and later left her at home. The next day, the mother lodged a complaint with the police and the police immediately formed separate teams and nabbed all the accused. Further investigations are currently underway.
