Aamir Khan chose theatre in the OTT era!: Cinema owners praise 'Sitare Zameen Par' and give special respect
Aamir Khan's film 'Sitare Zameen Par' is doing very well. It has earned Rs 100 crore across the country. Aamir's character in the film is that of a coach. It is worth noting that nowadays many filmmakers are releasing their films directly on OTT, but Aamir decided to bring it to the theatres. The decision was lauded by theatre owners and exhibitors across the country. The film has also done well at the box office. It has not only proved Aamir's ability to tell sensitive stories once again but has also highlighted the importance of watching films in theatres with family once again. To celebrate the huge success of the film, a special event was organised by multiplex exhibitors in which Aamir himself participated. During the event, the exhibitors gifted Aamir a small memento as a mark of respect. PVR Cinema shared the pictures and wrote- When stars come together, magic happens! PVR Inox Pictures and Cinepolis together organised a special event to celebrate the success of 'Sitare Zameen Par', which was attended by exhibitors from across the country and Aamir Khan was honoured!!" The film will release in theatres on June 20, 2025.
'Sitare Zameen Par' is directed by R. S. It has been done by Prasanna. It has been produced by Aamir Khan and Aparna Purohit. The film is an official remake of Spain's 2018 film Champions. The film is the story of a suspended basketball coach who has to prepare a team of disabled players as a social service. He prepares a team of children with Down syndrome. It was released in theaters on June 20, 2025.
