Even before the onset of monsoon, the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation shirked its responsibility. Municipal commissioner Banchanidhi Pani has issued a warning to the citizens. During the monsoon, all the 25 underbridges in the city will be waterlogged and if any citizen falls victim to an accident or drowns while passing by, then the municipal corporation will not be fully responsible. But the citizen will have his own. The municipal commissioner seems to have abdicated his responsibility by making this official announcement. During the monsoon season, all the 25 underbridges in the city get waterlogged. The municipal corporation has already issued a stern warning to motorists that it is extremely dangerous to pass through the waterlogged underpass. The municipal corporation will not be responsible if a motorist goes to the underbridge after taking a risk. There is a lot of anger among the citizens against this policy of the administration. Because instead of providing the convenience of the tax-collecting municipal administration, the responsibility of the underbridge, which has become like a well of death, is shifting the responsibility of the underbridge on the citizens.
