Raipur Big Bazaar to Sarangpur: Harsh Sanghvi and a large number of people will join the 300-feet long national flag, read which roads will be closed

To commemorate 150 years of Vande Mataram and under the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign, Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) has planned a grand 'Tiranga Yatra' from Raipur Big Bazaar to Sarangpur on 12th August 2026. Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghvi will flag off the yatra with a 300-feet tricolour at 5 pm. The yatra will pass through Raipur crossroads and Khadia Gate at Sarangpur crossroads. It will conclude with floral tributes at the statue of Babasaheb Ambedkar. BRTS and AMTS buses diverted Traffic arrangements have been changed in the wake of the yatra. BRTS and AMTS buses going from Kalupur to Ellisbridge via Sarangpur have been diverted, while all BRTS stands from Kalupur to Astodia will remain closed. Apart from this, roads from Raipur Darwaza to Sarangpur, Chhabila Hanuman, Khadia Gate, Bala Hanuman to Sarangpur Chakla, Kagadapith T to Astodia and Parsi Agiari to Raipur Darwaza have been closed for vehicular traffic. Tableau, Selfie Corner as well as Medical Team Facility The pilgrimage route has been decorated with decorations and patriotic atmosphere at various places. A total of 11 reception stages have been set up on the route to make the yatra more grand. Apart from this, cultural programmes with patriotic songs will be organised at various locations. AMC's theme-based tableaux, selfie corner as well as reel competition will also be a special attraction for citizens. Medical teams will be arranged for the convenience of citizens. The yatra will be attended by Home Guards, Police Bands, Fire Department personnel, students with Scout Bands and teachers, sports personnel, representatives of various societies and institutions as well as citizens in large numbers. The yatra will also be widely broadcast through digital medium, so that citizens from different parts of the city can also join the patriotic fervour. Tiranga Yatra Reel Competition by AMC AMC has organized a reel competition for citizens. The first prize will be Rs 31,000, the second prize will be Rs 21,000 and the third prize will be Rs 11,000 in cash. Participants will have to create a creative reel of the Tiranga Yatra and post it on their public Instagram account tagging @amdavadamc with #AmdavadTirangaYatra2026 and #AMC hashtag.
