20 out of 21 Congress MLAs in Assam-Bengal are Muslims: AIUDF The BJP did not give ticket to any Muslim

In the assembly elections in five states, the most different trend was seen in Bengal on Muslim seats. Of the 142 Muslim seats, the BJP won 72 seats, the TMC 64 and the Congress two. In Assam, the Congress won 18 of the 22 Muslim-majority seats, while the AIUDF won 2 seats. Of the 44 Muslim-majority seats in Kerala, the IUML won 21 seats and the Congress 14. In Kerala, the Congress contested on 114 seats, of which 63 were won. Here 8 Muslim candidates have won the election. The Congress contested a total of 390 seats in Bengal and Assam. It won 21 seats, of which 20 are Muslim MLAs. The BJP did not give ticket to a single Muslim candidate here. AIUDF leader Badruddin Ajmal sarcastically said, "In Assam, the Congress has now become the Muslim League." In Assam, 18 out of 20 Muslim candidates of the Congress won the elections, in Bengal, the Congress gave tickets to more Muslims than the TMC, in West Bengal, the Congress gave tickets to 63 Muslim candidates. The TMC, which has been in power for 15 years, fielded 47 Muslim candidates. In 2021, the Congress had fielded Muslim candidates in 94 seats. In many seats in Assam, the Muslim candidates of the Congress and its allies have won more than 80 per cent. Of the 126 MLAs, 63 have been re-elected. Of all the newly elected MLAs, 21 (17%) have criminal cases and 19 (15%) have serious criminal cases against them. The Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR) has released this report. According to the report, 3 MLAs have been booked for attempt to murder and 2 have cases of atrocities against women.
