
Ahmedabad News: Every year after Uttarayan, kite strings hanging on roads and trees pose a threat to the environment and birds. But this year, the Solid Waste Management Department of the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) has set a new example by turning this hazardous waste into art. Under the 'Waste to Art' approach, an attractive logo of the 'Commonwealth Games-2030' has been created from 1200 kg of kite string collected from the city.
Confluence of Awareness and Art
This innovative experiment has been done with the aim of increasing enthusiasm and awareness among the citizens about the 'Commonwealth Games-2030' to be held in Ahmedabad in the coming years.
