
3,678 branches of banks in Gujarat will be closed, bank transactions worth Rs 15,000 crore will be disrupted.
RAJKOT: Employees across the country are angry with the central government's changes to the privatisation of public sector undertakings, labour contracts, four labour codes, electricity reforms bill and MNREGA . The All India Bank Employees Association (AIBEA) has decided to join the nationwide bandh call given on Friday, May 12, as part of which the bank employees will protest by staying away from work tomorrow.
A total of 3,678 branches of banks in Gujarat will remain closed and around 25,000 bank employees will join the strike, the bank union said in a statement.
