Ahmedabad Water and Drainage Line : Cases of water-borne diarrhea, vomiting, jaundice, typhoid and cholera are on the rise in Ahmedabad. Amid fears of a water scandal like Indore, a series of meetings have started in the municipal corporation. As many as 26 hotspot areas have been declared for the pandemic.
There are many areas, including Gomtipur, Behrampura and Danilimda, where the corporation's water or drainage line passes, where houses have to be demolished to change the line. A survey has been started on some of the houses that will have to be demolished.
