A woman was seriously injured after an electric pole collapsed during beautification work in Vadodara's Sadhli.

A major tragedy has come to light from Sadhli in Vadodara, exposing the gross negligence of the administration and the contractor. The work of beautification of the lake in Sadhli is going on in full swing. During the operation, a hydraulic Hitachi machine exploded with high-tension electrical wires passing through the road. Due to the negligence of the driver, a huge power pole collapsed on the main road in an instant. The incident, which took place in front of the Madina Masjid, led to chaos and stampede in the entire area.

Woman seriously injured, bike hit

When the electric pole fell on the road, a local woman standing nearby was caught in its grip. The woman suffered serious injuries on her body and head after a heavy iron pole fell on her head. Locals immediately informed the 108 ambulance and rushed the woman to a nearby hospital for treatment. Apart from this, the bike was also badly damaged and crushed when a pillar fell on a motorcycle standing just below the power pole.

Live electric wires spread on the road and an atmosphere of fear

The accident was so dangerous that as soon as the pole broke, live electric wires with thousands of volts of current were scattered on the main road. An atmosphere of panic prevailed among local residents and motorists as live wires spilled on the road. Locals immediately informed the power company and shut down the line, which prevented major casualties. The villagers directly allege that the accident occurred when the contractor and the Hitachi operator operated the machine without taking care of the surrounding electric wires.
