Apple's first foldable iPhone will be 4.5mm thin, will compete with Samsung!

The company is expected to introduce a new foldable iPhone alongside the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max at the big launch event on September 9.

In reports and leaks, it is being referred to as iPhone Ultra, iPhone Fold or iPhone Fold Ultra. If Apple launches this phone, it could compete directly with Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold series.

Apple's biggest bet?

Apple is preparing to step into the foldable smartphone market for the first time and it is considered to be the company's biggest iPhone bet so far. However, Apple has not yet officially confirmed the name and features of the foldable iPhone. According to leaks, the phone can be only 4.5mm thin when unfolded, while its thickness is said to be around 9mm when folded. The iPhone Fold can be given two 48MP rear cameras.

According to reports, Apple's first foldable phone can come in a book-style design. When folded, it is said to get an external screen of about 5.3 to 5.5 inches and a 7.8-inch LTPO OLED display when opened. It can also have a 120Hz refresh rate.
