Ganga 2 feet above danger level in Bihar: Floods in 13 districts; 407 families left their homes in Kashi, 175 roads closed in Himachal Pradesh

Many districts of Bihar have been receiving sporadic rains for the last two days. In Patna, the Ganga river is flowing about 2 feet above the danger level. 13 districts of the state are in the grip of floods, while the water level of 8 rivers has risen. Due to incessant rains in Uttar Pradesh, the rivers have become swollen. In Kashi, 407 families living on the banks of the Varuna river have been shifted to safer places. So far, 2,910 people have been displaced. The administration has deployed 36 boats for relief and rescue work. More than 175 roads were closed due to landslides following heavy rains in many parts of Himachal Pradesh on Wednesday night. Heavy debris fell on the Kalka-Shimla four-lane. Due to which many vehicles were stuck throughout the night.
