The apple market in Porbandar has been gutted due to snowfall in the Kashmir diocese. The various departments located in the market yard of Porbandar generate income according to the season. The fruit department of the yard in Porbandar also earns seasonal fruits, but the fruit department of the yard is earning apples permanently. However, due to the recent snowfall in Kashmir, most of the roads have been closed, which has stopped the arrival of apples from the diocese. Porbandar yard consumes 1500 to 2000 boxes of apples per day
Fruit traders from Porbandar city as well as rural diocese come to buy fruits in the fruit section of Porbandar yard every day.
