'Lord Ram's contribution fell victim to BJP-RSS political loot': Ashok Gehlot attacks central government, demands arrest of Champat Rai and probe under Supreme Court's supervision

Senior Indian National Congress leader and former Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot addressed a press conference at Rajiv Gandhi Bhavan in Ahmedabad during his visit to Gujarat. During this time, he attacked the central government, the BJP and the RSS over the alleged theft of donations and financial irregularities in the Ayodhya Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust. Gehlot alleged that the theft of funds at the Ram temple was not just a simple financial scam but a blatant betrayal of the sacred faith, faith and religious sentiments of crores of devotees of the country. 'Lord Ram's contribution became a victim of political loot of BJP-RSS' Ashok Gehlot made serious allegations and said that the BJP, RSS, Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Sangh Parivar organizations have done active politics in the name of Lord Shri Ram for nearly three decades. He collected donations from the poor and middle class of the country in the name of Ram Mandir and gained power on the strength of this movement. Today, the same crores of Ram devotees are compelled to ask, under whose protection was the sacred contribution and offerings collected in the name of Lord Ram looted? When the entire trust was formed under the direct supervision of the Prime Minister himself, who will take moral responsibility for this scam? Demand for arrest of Champat Rai and Anil Mishra "If everything was fair and transparent in the administration of the trust, then why did Champat Rai and Anil Mishra have to resign immediately? He demanded that an FIR be registered and arrested with immediate effect against Champat Rai, Anil Mishra and all the influential persons involved in the entire scam. "If the ruling party or the trust has done nothing wrong, why are they afraid of an independent judicial inquiry under the supervision of the Supreme Court? Questions on federal system and the saintly tradition of Ayodhya "For the first time in history, a temple has come under the direct control of the RSS and the BJP and it has been looted there. Those who do politics under the cover of culture are neither honest with the public nor with God. The problem is not just with any individual, but with the federal system that has been created for the temple. First he made Champat Rai sit and now he was replaced by Krishna Mohan, both of whom belong to the RSS. The big question is why the RSS wants to take possession of the temple by removing the age-old mahant tradition of Ayodhya and excluding the saints who fought for the Ram temple. Allegations of blind and fake receipts of Rs 113 crore On the administrative structure of the trust, Gehlot made it clear that the central government cannot escape its responsibility as the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) has played an active role in the top appointments. At present, the SIT is also examining the expenses of major temple events. A whopping expenditure of ₹113 crore has been incurred for just 8000 guests at the time of Pran-Pratishtha and ₹10.12 crore has been spent on the flag hoisting ceremony. Apart from this, there have been many allegations of fake receipts, cash laundering and accounting irregularities. The administration is content to take action against only small employees, while the responsibility of the top officials of the trust is yet to be fixed. 'Double engine government is protecting guilty' In a scathing attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Ashok Gehlot said, "Lord Ram is not the private property of any one political party, he is the unwavering faith of crores of Indians. Every attempt to cover up the alleged loot of money is an insult to the religious consciousness of the country. Is the double engine government protecting the main culprits of this scam? Why is Prime Minister Narendra Modi silent even after such serious allegations? He should appear before the country and answer and this entire episode should be investigated under the direct supervision of the Supreme Court so that the truth can come out.
