Shocking statistics have come out for the education world from the two districts of the state, Banaskantha and Vav-Tharad. As many as 37,415 students of classes 1 to 12 in the district have dropped out of the school and have moved away from the mainstream of education. The financial condition of the family, lack of awareness and the safety of daughters have deprived them of education. So the future of these children looked bleak, but now the education department has come to the field to convince these children. Dropout rate among students of classes 9 to 12 is high.
A mega survey has been conducted in 14 talukas of both the districts. The survey of the education department has revealed that the dropout rate is particularly high among students of classes 9 to 12. The problem is more prevalent in areas like Danta, Amirgarh, Tharad, Dhanera, Kankrej, Palanpur and Deesa. Students are moving away from studies due to low level of education in tribal and remote areas. Efforts to reconnect students with education
The education department has become active under the Back to School mission. District education officers, teachers and staff are going from village to village to try to get the dropout students back in school. So far, about 32,078 students have been verified and efforts have been made to reconnect them with education through meetings with their parents, villagers and Sarpanches. 'Back to School' Mission is a ray of hope
According to the education department, the remaining 5337 students will also be covered under the Back to School campaign. Village leaders, sarpanches and elders are also now supporting the education department so that no child is deprived of education. The 'Back to School' mission of the education department is becoming a ray of hope. District Primary Education Officer Vinu Patel said that the education department has launched a 'Back to School' mission to bring back the children who have dropped out of classes 1 to 12. We are going from village to village contacting the parents of the dropout children and the village leaders are also associated with it. 'It is our resolve that no child should be deprived of education'
As part of this campaign, we visited Sebalpani in Danta taluka and Kanpur primary school in Amirgarh taluka. With the help of the villagers, 35 children have been readmitted in Sablepani and 28 in Kanpur. We are committed to ensure that no child is deprived of education due to social or economic reasons. Children have dropped out of school due to lack of education in the family or society as well as some social reasons. The village leaders have also decided that it is our responsibility to ensure that no child drops out. 'There is a shortage of teachers in Vav-Tharad which will be filled'
There is no shortage of teachers in Banaskantha district, but there is a shortage in Vav-Tharad, which will also be filled in the coming time by appointing 'Gyan Sahayak' from the new session. For those children who have not attained 10th standard and those children are above 15 years of age, we will help them to shape their career by giving them a direct exam through GSOS and NIOS. Kanpura village leader Lalabhai said, "Today there was a meeting in Kanpura village about the children who are not studying. The authorities have asked us to ensure that no child is left out of education. This is the age of technology. If a child does not study now, he will lag behind others. Therefore, every parent should send his child to study. He further said that there is education up to Class VIII in Kanpura village and the children go to study. After which many children drop out of school. The main reason for this is the financial condition of the parents. For this reason, children do not study further. It is my humble request that we all work together to make proper arrangements for the education of children so that every child can go on a higher education. Parents worried about the safety of their daughters as it is a remote area
In this regard, Kanpura Pay Center Principal Ramesh Kumar Nanji Patel said, From 1 to 8, there is no problem, but since there is no high school, students have to travel five kilometers away for further studies. This area is a remote area, so some of the daughters have grown up and as a result, the parents are not ready to send them there. But we explained to them in mission mode and we are trying our best to ensure 100% achievement and every child in the age group of 6 to 18 years goes to school. It is necessary to take the support of the leaders, our fellow teachers, friends and villagers to convince them and take education for the future of the students. So we are making concerted efforts in that direction. Jagdish Gamar, a student, said, "I am studying in class 11. My brother quit studying 2 years ago. Now a team has come to Kanpur village and asked them to study, through which they have agreed to study. He dropped out of school due to poor home situation and a little weak in studies.
