Heatwave Health Tips: In view of the increasing heat and heatwave, health experts urge people to take special care of themselves and their families and recommend adoption of Ayurvedic remedies. According to experts, it is very important to drink enough water, eat light and nutritious food and adopt an Ayurvedic routine in the summer season.
All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA) has appealed to the people that it is very important to keep the body cool and hydrated during summer. First of all, keep yourself well hydrated. Drink plenty of water throughout the day. Consumption of not only water but also various types of fluids is beneficial<>
Ayurvedic experts believe that adopting these simple remedies and routines can significantly reduce heat-related problems like fatigue, dizziness, dehydration, and digestive problems. Ayurvedic remedies to avoid heat include tulsi seeds, white onion, khas (sweet tulsi), sandalwood and mogra.
What to eat to avoid heat:
1. Tulsi seeds: Soak basil seeds in water overnight and drink water in the morning. It cools the body and improves digestion.
2. Soak poppy seeds, sandalwood and mogra in water. Drinking this water provides natural cooling to the body and reduces heat fatigue><
3. White onions Eating white onions in summer is also beneficial. It helps in regulating body temperature.
What not to eat in summer:
Ayurveda Institute recommends avoiding heavy, fried and spicy foods in summer season.
What to eat in summer:
Eatlight, fresh and nutritious food. Eat more fruits, vegetables, yogurt, buttermilk and salads. Be careful when stepping out in the sun.
Avoid going out betweenp.m. and 4 p.m. Wear umbrellas, hats, goggles and light-colored open clothing if necessary.
