In Ahmedabad, a waterlogged situation was created in many areas due to heavy rains. On the other hand, the Sabarmati river flowed on two banks due to the release of water from the Dharoi dam. Despite repeated warnings from the East Riverfront Police to be vigilant for safety through loudspeakers, Ahmedabadites flocked to see the fierce form of the Sabarmati river as soon as the rains stopped.

Heavy rains started on Saturday and continued till Sunday afternoon, causing waterlogging in low-lying areas of Ahmedabad city.
