Supreme Court News: The Supreme Court of India has announced reservation for other backward classes (OBC) for the recruitment of its employees for the first time. This historic step has been taken under the leadership of current Chief Justice BR Gavai.
Gazette notification issued
The Gazette notification issued on July 3 stated that the Officers and Servants (Conditions of Service and Conduct) Rules, 1961 of the Supreme Court have been amended in exercise of the powers vested in them under Section 146(2).
