The DCP Zone-3 squad nabbed two associates of an inter-state gang who were taking advantage of the crowd in various cities of Gujarat as well as other states. During the interrogation of the accused, it was revealed that they could not be traced as they used to steal the mobile and cover it in silver foil. Many also used to come on flights to Gujarat to commit thefts.
Amid the increase in the incidents of mobile theft in and around Kalupur railway station in Ahmedabad, the staff of DCP Zone-3 squad received information during the investigation that thefts were being carried out by a gang from Jharkhand in Ahmedabad and other cities.
