The US Supreme Court, while hearing the petitions filed against Trump's tariff bomb, gave him a big blow.The US Supreme Court in its decision canceled a large part of the tariff imposed under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA) as illegal. Along with this, the Trump administration was also ordered to refund.

Donald Trump violated his jurisdiction by imposing steep tariffs on imports from U.S. trading partners by using a 1977 law to deal with national security emergencies. The judges concluded that the law does not give the president the unilateral authority to impose sweeping trade tariffs.
