Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghvi visited Vadodara in view of the upcoming Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit. He held an important review meeting with senior officials and representatives of various industrial units and mandals of Central Gujarat at the Vadodara Collectorate. The meeting assumes significance to assess the preparations for the summit and bring in new investments in the state.
A big incentive of Rs 1432.41 crore for the industries of Central Gujarat
During this meeting, a major announcement was made to give further impetus to the industrial development of Central Gujarat. A total incentive of Rs. 1432.41 crore was awarded by the Government to promote all eligible industries in Central Gujarat. The deputy chief minister reviewed the progress by obtaining details of various schemes and facilities including land being given to industries from higher officials.
New Roadmap to Attract Investments in Chemical, Pharma and IT Sector
Harsh Sanghvi has given strict instructions to the officials to prepare a definite roadmap to attract new and big global investment in the state. There was a special emphasis on bringing more investment in the chemicals and pharmaceutical sector. There was also an extensive discussion on tapping the huge opportunities in the IT and engineering sector.
Special focus on development of Dahej, Savli and Halol belts
Special discussions were held on the development of Dahej, Savli and Halol industrial belts which are very important from the industrial point of view as they have great potential for new possibilities. Issues of connectivity and strengthening infrastructure for industries were also discussed. The Deputy Chief Minister urged the officials to organize an Investor Meet on an urgent basis to resolve all the issues and problems of the industrialists on the spot so that the Vibrant Summit could be successful.
