Ahmedabad News: For the first time in Gujarat, the CNCD department of Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation has made operational a corporation-run CNG based crematorium machine for pet dog owners in Gujarat to facilitate the cremation of pet dogs. This is also the first pet dog crematorium in a corporation-run urban area across the country.

As per ABC Rules-2023 and NAPRE-2030 published by Government of India, various activities like vaccination and culling of stray dogs, registration of pet dogs, medical treatment of sick dogs, dedicated feeding spots, welfare activities, treatment and care are being implemented by Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation.
