A team of Bhavnagar Local Crime Branch has taken a major action in Talaja taluka. Based on a tip-off received by the police, a raid was conducted at an abandoned house near the bus station in Piparla village. A total of 216 bottles of English liquor of Indian origin have been seized by the police in this raid. This includes 120 bottles of green label export special whisky and 96 bottles of Officers' Choice Classic whisky. The total value of the seized liquor is Rs 2,37,600. Police have identified two accused in the case. Shaileshbhai Maganbhai Baraiya and Ritwikbhai Natubhai Bhatt are both residents of Piparla village. Both the accused were not present at the spot during the raid and are currently absconding. The seized liquor bottles had 'Four Sale in Rajasthan State Only' written on them. Police have registered a case under the Prohibition Act at Alang police station in Bhavnagar and started further investigation.
