In Mehsana city, Vishwakarma Foundation organized a grand and historic Mahasammelan of Samast Panchal Samaj and Twenty-two Panchal Samaj. The event witnessed great enthusiasm and joy as more than 5,000 castes from various districts of Gujarat turned up. The main objective of the conference was to create awareness about the declining population in the society and to strengthen the organization. More than 50 per cent of couples do not have another child, according to caste family registry data
Jayantilal Panchal, president and founder of Vishwakarma Nirman Foundation, expressed concern that in today's times, many couples are confined to only one child due to the fear of career or expenses. More than 50 per cent of couples do not have another child, according to caste family registry data. This situation may affect the existence of the caste and the number of skilled artisans in the future. As a solution to this problem, the foundation has taken a unique initiative in which a couple who had a second child was given a cash prize cheque of Rs 25,000 in the name of the mother as an incentive. 180 women and girls honoured with shawls and mementos on the dais
Speakers on the occasion emphasized that population balance is essential for the support of a child and secure the future of the parents. In addition, a unique honour was held to maintain the importance of the joint family system in Indian culture. Around 180 women and girls living in joint families were honoured with shawls and souvenirs on the stage. At the end of the conference, the leaders expressed confidence that such events will infuse new energy in the society and make the coming generation more organized and capable. This initiative of the Panchal community is being appreciated by the entire diocese.
