Textbooks Shortage in School: Statement of the Chairman of the Board on the Shortage of Textbooks

new academic session has started in schools across the state from today. But on the very first day of the academic year, a major flaw in the education system came to the fore. Many government and aided schools in the state have not yet received textbooks. As a result, thousands of students from class 1 to 12 have been forced to start their studies without books. As many as 10 books of classes 1 to 12 have not reached the market. In which Gujarati books of class two and environment and mathematics of class three are not available. Even Class VI mathematics and social science books are not available in the market. As a result, the students are facing a lot of trouble.  

textbook sellers say that the textbooks that are usually available in April-May have not yet arrived. The publishers are giving answers that the paper has become expensive and the curriculum has to be changed. Manu Pawra, chairman of the Textbook Board, defended the issue of shortage of textbooks, saying that textbooks for classes one to eight have reached the taluka and school development complex. Free books are planned to be distributed in government and grant-in-aid schools of classes 9 to 12 from June 11. And the textbooks will be distributed by June 25.
