BJP announces candidates for Sabarkantha, 30 new faces: 13 repeats in Himmatnagar municipality, changes in district-taluka panchayats

The BJP has announced the names of its candidates for Sabarkantha district panchayat, eight taluka panchayats and municipalities. The list released last night includes the names of 43 out of 44 candidates in Himmatnagar Municipality, with 13 incumbent members repeated and 30 new faces given a chance. The announcement includes 34 seats in Sabarkantha district panchayat and 170 seats in Himmatnagar, Idar, Wadali, Khedbrahma, Poshina, Vijaynagar, Talod and Prantij taluka panchayats. Apart from this, candidates have also been declared for 96 seats in Himmatnagar, Idar, Wadali municipalities and general and Prantij municipalities. Mahendrabhai Patel, husband of former district panchayat president Bhartiben Mahendrabhai Patel, has been given the ticket. Elections will be held for 44 seats in 11 wards of Himmatnagar Municipality. The number of wards has increased from nine to 11 with the addition of surrounding areas, adding eight members. One repeat and three new faces have been selected in Ward 9, one repeat and three new faces have been selected in Ward 10 and four new faces have been selected in Ward 11. The names of the candidates who have been declared are as follows: Ward No. 1: Gayatriben Mahesh Kumar Barber, Tejal Akash Rawal, Sawan Amritlal Dokiar, Gopalsinh Narayan Singh Rathore. Ward No. 2: Shuchi Arjun Kumar Shah, Neeta Hasmukhbhai Patel, Rajubhai Karsanbhai Desai, Rajeshkumar Kishorilal Sharma. Ward No. 3: Hafijunisha Zakir Hussain Harsolia, Dashrathbhai Chimanbhai Vaghela, Soyabbhai Sabirbhai Sheikh. Ward No. 4: Devikaben Dhavalbhai Soni, Janakiben Amitbhai Rawal, Govindsinh Udaysinh Rathore, Nikeshbhai Hasmukhbhai Gandhi. Ward No. 5: Alkaben Rakesh Kumar Barot, Ushaben Pradipbhai Vaghela, Rashikantbhai Mathurbhai Solanki, Jayesh Vasantbhai Bhati. Ward No. 6: Priyankaben Chhaganbhai Sadat, Hansaben Mahendrakumar Pitroda, Jatin Shankarbhai Kahar, Hitesh Kumar Jayantilal Patel. Ward No. 7: Arunaben Dharmendrabhai Kadia, Kumar Bhargavbhai Manharbhai Raj, Amritlal Babulal Purohit. Ward No. 8: Dakshaben Jayantilal Rathod, Bhoomi Jigneshbhai Mehta, Gopalbhai Keshubhai Prajapati, Dharmaraj Balwantsinh Deora.
