How many likes and followers do you get on Instagram? Know when it is monetized
Instagram: In today's digital world, Instagram is no longer just a platform for sharing photos and videos, but it has become a big source of revenue. Millions of users are not only making recognition through this social media app but are also earning a lot. But the question arises, when and how do you start getting money on Instagram? Do you get money only from likes and followers or are there other conditions?
Instagram doesn't have a straightforward monetization system like YouTube, in which you earn through ads. But Instagram has now introduced "Instagram Creator Monetization" features in a limited number of countries such as Badges in Live, Reels Bonuses, and Affiliate Programs, which allow some creators to make money. These features are currently not available to everyone in India, but still millions of creators are earning through brand deals, sponsorships and promotions
Earning on Instagram depends on the number of followers, your engagement rate, and the quality of the content. Generally, if you have good engagement (i.e. likes, comments, and story views are regular), smaller brands can approach you for promotions. You can get 1,000 to 5,000 rupees for a post. At this level, you are considered a mid-level influencer. Large companies or startups can pay up to Rs 10,000 to Rs 50,000 for sponsorship. You become a macro or mega influencer. A post can fetch up to lakhs of rupees, especially if your engagement is tremendous.
Likes don't directly make money. But they show your engagement in a way. The more likes and comments, the more confident brands will be that your content is being liked by people and will have an impact on promoting their products. This is why brands decide the deal only by looking at the likes and views on your post.
brand sponsorship: companies promote their products through your account.
affiliate marketing: You provide a link to a product in a story or post, and that link earns a commission on the purchase.
product sales: You can sell your own digital or physical products such as clothes, courses, ebooks, etc.
Instagram Live Badges: Fans can support you by purchasing badges (available in limited countries).
