West Kutch Local Crime Branch has seized a large quantity of bentonite mineral stored outside the lease area on the outskirts of Vandh village under Garhshisha police station area. On the basis of a tip-off, the holder of Adinath lease, Aditya Ashokbhai Parmar, was illegally depositing bentonite outside his lease limits on the outskirts of Vandh village. The police informed the Bhuj Mines and Minerals Department and officials reached the spot and conducted an investigation. As the lease holder does not have any valid evidence, the illegal quantity has been seized and the Department of Mines and Minerals is proposing to take penal action and other legal actions.
