Union Water Power Minister C.R. Patil held a meeting with Civil Aviation Minister Kinjarapu Naidu and demanded immediate resumption of cancelled flights of IndiGo's Delhi-Surat-Delhi and AI Express's Delhi-Surat-Bengaluru flights. Meanwhile, Naidu made it clear that both flights are being operated. With the runway closed from June 16 to September 15, IndiGo's daily Delhi-Surat-Delhi flight is now operating only for three days on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Air India Express's daily morning flight was from Delhi-Surat-Bengaluru, which is now operating Bengaluru-Surat-Bengaluru in the morning and Delhi-Surat-Delhi in the afternoon. This flight will also be operated as Delhi-Surat-Bengaluru in the morning after September 15. On the issue of flights to Chennai, Goa and Hyderabad, Naidu said flights are closed due to technical reasons, which will be resumed.
