Cr Patil:Start cancelled flights to Delhi and Bengaluru immediately: CR Patil

Union Water Power Minister C.R. Patil held a meeting with Civil Aviation Minister Kinjarapu Naidu and demanded immediate resumption of cancelled flights of IndiGo's Delhi-Surat-Delhi and AI Express's Delhi-Surat-Bengaluru flights. Meanwhile, Naidu made it clear that both flights are being operated. With the runway closed from June 16 to September 15, IndiGo's daily Delhi-Surat-Delhi flight is now operating only for three days on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Air India Express's daily morning flight was from Delhi-Surat-Bengaluru, which is now operating Bengaluru-Surat-Bengaluru in the morning and Delhi-Surat-Delhi in the afternoon. This flight will also be operated as Delhi-Surat-Bengaluru in the morning after September 15. On the issue of flights to Chennai, Goa and Hyderabad, Naidu said flights are closed due to technical reasons, which will be resumed. Sharjah said on the issue of flight that its operation days have been reduced due to the decrease in passenger demand. Surat-Mumbai flight has not started despite several representations Over the years, several representations have been made to start a flight service between Surat and Mumbai. However, this flight has not started till date. Representations have been made from time to time as the flight to Mumbai is considered to be very important for traders including diamond, textiles.
