IND vs WI 1st T20 Highlights: The Indian cricket team defeated the West Indies by 8 wickets in the first T20 International match played at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow. At the beginning of this match, the West Indies team decided to bat first. However, the Caribbean batsmen could not last long against the superb performance of the Indian spin bowlers. From the West Indies, captain Shai Hope scored 52 runs and Sherfane Rutherford played a useful innings of 56 runs. However, the entire team could not play the entire 20 overs and was all out for 171 runs
Indian batting: historic partnership after initial setback

But then captain Shreyas Iyer and Ishan Kishan took over. Both these players were a tremendous wash of the West Indies bowlers. Shreyas Iyer took an aggressive stance and completed his century in just 42 balls. He scored an unbeaten 102 off 43 balls. In his historic and match-winning innings, Iyer hit 10 impressive fours and 6 skyrocketing sixes. Ishan Kishan, who was standing at the other end, also supported the captain and remained unbeaten on 37 off 27 balls. The two batsmen put on an unbroken 137-run partnership for the third wicket, as a result of which India easily achieved the target with 32 balls to spare
Shreyas Iyer sets new records
Shreyas Iyer has also set some records with this brilliant century. This is the 4th fastest century by any captain in the history of T20 cricket. Apart from this, this is the 2nd fastest T20 century recorded by an Indian captain (the record for the fastest century as a captain for India is held by Rohit Sharma, who scored a century off 35 balls). This is the 6th fastest T20 century for India overall. It is worth noting here that Ishan Kishan has also scored a century in 42 balls
