Chinese Film Festival 2026 in Delhi, 'The Composer' wins Best Film, Indian Film Festival to be held in Beijing
Cinema seems to be becoming a new medium to strengthen the relationship between India and China. The first Chinese Film Festival held in Delhi has come to an end. More than 10 films from both countries were shown in this two-day festival. Film lovers got a chance to know the stories, culture and cinema of China closely through these films.
In the closing ceremony of the festival, along with the felicitation of films, announcements were also made about the upcoming cultural programs between India and China. The event was supported by the Embassy of China, Delhi International Film Festival and the National School of Drama.
The most important thing about this festival is that now there is a preparation to show Indian films in China. It has also been announced to organize an Indian Film Festival in Beijing, the capital of China, soon. For this, the Indian Embassy in China and the Delhi International Film Festival will work together.
The purpose of this event is to bring Indian cinema to the Chinese audience. This will give the people there a chance to understand Indian films, stories and culture. At the same time, the second Chinese Film Festival will also be organized in Delhi. However, its dates have not been announced yet.
'The Composer' won Best Film Award
Among the films screened at the festival held at the Films Division Auditorium in Delhi, 'The Composer' was chosen as the best feature film. Apart from this, 'The Sinking of the Lisbon Maru' received the Selection Committee Choice Award. Child artist Aaradhya was also honored for the Indian film 'The Girl with Close Lips'.
Cinema will bring India and China closer
The Minister Counsellor of the Chinese Embassy has expressed special gratitude to the National School of Drama (NSD), the Ministry of Culture, and the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (I&B) for their unparalleled support. He says that cinema is a medium that can bring people of different countries closer to each other.
