India Relaxe FDI: The Government of India has relaxed the Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) rules for all neighboring countries, including China, which can open up new investment opportunities. The announcement was made after a meeting of the Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on March 10.

Which countries are included?

As per the changed rules, foreign companies with shareholders in these countries will no longer need government approval to invest in various sectors in India. The countries that will be affected by this change include China, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Bhutan, Nepal, Myanmar and Afghanistan.
