India vs England ODI squad 2026: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has made a major change in the Indian team for the three-match ODI series against England. Nitish Kumar Reddy has been ruled out of the series due to injury, while explosive all-rounder Shivam Dubey has returned to the ODI squad after a gap of 2 years. The good news for fans in this series is that Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma will also be seen playing

Why did Nitish Kumar Reddy get out?

It is worth mentioning that Nitish Kumar Reddy was injured during the third ODI against Afghanistan. Earlier, in the first ODI in Dharamsala, he had a fitness problem, due to which he could not play the second match. He has also been ruled out of the crucial series against Ireland and now England due to his own injury.

Nitish. Shivam Dubey has been a regular part of the team in the T20 format, but he played his last ODI match against Sri Lanka in August 2024. Now, after a long gap of almost 2 years, he has got a chance to show his strength in the ODI format again

On the other hand, when the team was initially announced by the BCCI, Virat Kohli's playing depended on fitness. But now Virat is fully fit and the "subject to fitness" clause has been removed from his name. The three-match ODI series between India and England will be played from July 14 to July 19<>
