Indore water poisoning: Municipal commissioner removed: Additional commissioner and executive engineer suspended; So far, 15 people have died.

The Mohan government has removed municipal corporation commissioner Dilip Yadav in connection with deaths due to contaminated water in Indore. Additional Commissioner Rohit Sisonia and In-charge Superintendent Engineer Sanjeev Srivastava have been suspended. Earlier, show-cause notices were issued to municipal commissioner Dilip Yadav and additional commissioner Rohit Sisonia. Additional Commissioner Sisonia was transferred. In-charge superintending engineer Sanjeev Srivastava was stripped of the charge of the water distribution department. The government told the High Court: There were only 4 deaths Earlier, the government had told the High Court that only 4 deaths were reported in Indore due to contaminated water. The state government provided this information to the high court on Friday. The report comes after 15 deaths were reported by the families of the deceased and hospitals. The case is in the High Court. The next hearing will be held on January 6. On January 1, the high court asked the government to submit a status report. Five days later, the government acknowledged four deaths. On the other hand, Rahul Gandhi has blamed the double engine government for the incident. The High Court has fixed January 6 as the next date of hearing on the PIL case. Inter winner Govind Singh Bais had demanded a ban on the publication of the report in the media. The court did not comment on this. The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has taken note of the matter and sought a detailed report from the Chief Secretary. A two-week ultimatum has been given for this. In a social media post, Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi said, "In Indore, poison was distributed and the administration was asleep. There is grief in every house, the poor are helpless and above all, the arrogant statements of BJP leaders. Those whose stoves have run out of stoves in their homes need consolation, the government has shown arrogance. People repeatedly complained of dirty, foul-smelling water. Why was the hearing not held? How did sewage water mix with drinking water? Why was the supply stopped on time? When will action be taken against the officials and leaders responsible? These are not questions of 'focus', this is a demand for responsibility. "Clean water is not a favour, it is a right to life and the BJP's double engine, its negligent administration and insensitive leadership are fully responsible for the murder of this right. Madhya Pradesh has now become a hub of misgovernance. Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge on Saturday said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who has given the slogan of Jal Jeevan Mission and Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, is silent on the deaths due to drinking contaminated water in Indore. This is the same Indore city which has won the title of the cleanest city for the eighth time in a central government's Swachh Survekshan. It is shameful that people are yearning for clean water due to the failure of the BJP here. For 11 years, the country has been listening to only long speeches, lies, deceptions, hollow claims and the roar of the double-engine government. When a question is asked to the minister, he resorts to abuse. In the arrogance of power, the journalist is overwhelmed. The entire machinery is trying to cover up the misgovernance of the BJP governments. The Modi government and the BJP have neither provided clean water nor clean air to the country. The general public is suffering. Former CM Uma Bharti wrote on her official X account that the death due to drinking dirty water in Indore at the end of 2025 has brought shame and disgrace to our state, our government and our entire system. In the city that has won the award for the cleanest city in the state, so many lives have been swallowed and swallowed by such dirty, poisonous water, the number of deaths is increasing. Uma further wrote, "The value of life is not two lakh rupees because their families are drowning in sorrow for the rest of their lives. The victims will have to apologize. The culprits from bottom to top will have to be given maximum punishment. This is Mohan Yadav ji's exam time. As many as 201 people, including 16 children, have been admitted to different hospitals affected by the contaminated water. All 15 people have lost their lives due to contaminated water. This was confirmed by the lab report of Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Medical College on Thursday. CMHO Dr. "The test report of the samples clearly confirms that people fell ill and lost their lives by drinking contaminated water. Collector Shivam Verma said that the detailed report is awaited. A culture test is also being conducted in the medical college. It will be appropriate to say something only after the report comes. On the other hand, Urban Development Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya also admitted that the situation has worsened due to the mixing of sewage water with the drinking water of Bhagirathpura. "I think the leaky area near the outpost is where the biggest concern is," he said. Deadly bacteria like cholera in contaminated water According to experts, contaminated water means that there are bacteria in it, but which bacteria have affected it, a special (culture) investigation is done. There are many types of elements in drainage water. It also contains toilet excrement, bathroom bath, laundry soap, powdered water. Apart from this, there are also dishwashing soaps, powders, floor cleaning liquids, chemicals. All this waste goes into the drainage. In the same area, if there is also chemical related waste in the commercial, then it all mixes and becomes deadly. Then it becomes more toxic if it mixes with the drinking water line. In such a situation, bacteria like Shigella, Salmonella, Salmonella, Cholera, Escherichia coli etc. occur. One of these bacteria could be the cause of such a deadly condition. Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya reached Bhagirathpura on Thursday on a scooter. In the meantime, the women expressed their displeasure. A video of the same has been posted on social media by PCC chief Jitu Patwari. In the video, a woman is seen saying... "Dirty water has been coming in for the last two years. The BJP corporator was repeatedly informed, but the problem has not been resolved till date," the woman said Nidhi Yadav, a resident of Bhagirathpura, was wandering around the hospital with the baby in her lap. She was accompanied by her sister-in-law Pinky. When some leaders tried to stop the duo, they got angry. "My 70-year-old mother-in-law Ram Lalli Yadav has been admitted to the hospital for seven days. The hospital is asking for money by giving a slip. His kidneys have failed. If something happens to them, who will be responsible? Will you give us two lakh rupees and bring us back to our mother-in-law? We have a stomach ache, yet we are running with the children. When I went to meet the minister, his men did not allow me to meet him. CMHO said - 201 patients admitted, 32 in ICU... 71 Discharge CMHO Dr. Madhav Hasani said that 1714 households were surveyed on Thursday. A total of 8571 people were tested. A total of 338 patients were given first aid on the spot. A total of 272 patients have been admitted to hospitals till date. Of these, 71 patients have been discharged. Currently, the number of patients admitted in hospitals is 201. Of these, 32 are in ICU. ACS Sanjay Dubey holds meeting with officials in Indore Additional Chief Secretary Sanjay Dubey arrived in Indore on Thursday to investigate the contaminated water supply case. He inspected the spot from where contaminated water is likely to mix with the supply line. He saw where the water was coming from and where it was being supplied. After this, Dubey held a meeting with the officials of the municipal corporation and the district administration. It said that random sampling of drinking water supply should also be done at other places in the city. It should be checked that contaminated water is not being supplied somewhere else. He also asked them not to keep matters related to drinking water pending and to give immediate clearance in public interest. Dubey will submit a report to the chief minister on where the mistake has been made and who is responsible for the matter. 10 new borings will be built in Bhagirathpura, says MP Indore MP Shankar Lalwani also reached Bhagirathpura on Thursday. He toured the area along with former MLA Akash Vijayvargiya. He also met those affected. MP Lalwani said, "The people here demanded that there should be more boring in the area. On this, we have sanctioned 10 borings from the MP Fund immediately. The machine has been called and the work has started.
