According to a report by Al Jazeera, the Iranian Foreign Minister clearly says that Tehran has made it clear that it will not remain silent in the face of an attack on Beirut. In an interview with Lebanese news outlet Al-Mayadeen, Abbas Araghchi said that any attack on Beirut would have serious consequences and would lead to the resumption of war. "At the moment when Israel threatened to attack the areas around Beirut, we took an important stance and put the Iranian military on full alert for a retaliatory strike," he said.
