Iran halts ceasefire talks with US: Ready to close Strait of Hormuz again, decision against attack on Lebanon

Iran has suspended ceasefire talks with the United States for the time being. According to the Iranian news agency Tasnim, Tehran has said that there will be no talks with the United States through mediators until the Israeli attacks in Lebanon stop. According to the report, Iran says that maintaining peace in Lebanon was one of the important conditions of the ceasefire. But now this agreement is being violated on many fronts, including in Lebanon. Iran has demanded an immediate halt to Israeli military operations in Gaza and Lebanon and the complete withdrawal of Israeli troops from Lebanese territory. Tehran says talks will not resume until the demands of it and its allies on these issues are met. The Tasnim report also said that Iran and its allies are also considering the option of completely closing the Strait of Hormuz and activating other fronts. This includes the Bab al-Mandeb Strait. "We targeted radar and drone control sites on Iran's Goruk and Keshman islands," the US said. The attack was carried out in self-defence. The US Central Command (CENTCOM) has said that this action was taken in response to the aggressive activities of Iran. The United States alleged that Iran shot down an American MQ1 drone in international waters on Sunday. According to CENTCOM, the US military destroyed Iran's air defense system, a ground control station and two drones. The US claims that these drones were posing a direct threat to ships passing through regional sea routes. On the other hand, Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claimed that it targeted the airbase that was used in the US operation near the island of Siri. The IRGC says the attack was in response to the US attack on a telecom tower on the island of Syracuse. However, Iran has not disclosed the location of the airbase. At the same time, a report by 'Iran International' claimed that Iranian President Masoud Pajshkian has resigned. According to the report, Pajshkian alleged that the country's power is now completely controlled by IRGC commanders. However, Syed Mehdi Tabatbai, deputy chief of the communications and information broadcasting department of the president's office, dismissed the claim as a rumor. 5 big updates from the last 24 hours...
