Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has claimed that Iran's new Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei is alive, but his grip on power is not as strong as that of his father, Ali Khamenei. In an interview with CBS News' show '60 Minutes', Netanyahu said that Mojtaba is hiding in a bunker or a secret place and is trying to take power from there. Netanyahu said Iran is currently in its weakest phase since the 1979 Islamic Revolution. According to him, cracks within the regime are growing and differences are emerging between different groups. "Some people want to continue the struggle, while others fear that it will lead to the collapse of the economy and the people taking to the streets," he said. Netanyahu said the Iranian regime feared the most from its own people. He claimed that protests in Iran increased after the actions of Israel and the US and people raised their voices against the regime. Netanyahu said the recent crackdown on Iran targeted petrochemical plants, steel plants and missile manufacturing facilities. According to him, this has damaged both Iran's economy and military power. In the interview, Netanyahu said that the war against Iran is not over yet. According to him, Iran still has enriched uranium, many nuclear facilities are active, and the ballistic missile program has not been completely eliminated. Netanyahu said US President Donald Trump and Israel agreed that military action could be resumed if necessary. However, he also said that military action would not be necessary if the goal was achieved through economic pressure and compromise. In the interview, Netanyahu claimed that if Israel and the United States had not acted recently, Iran would have built a nuclear bomb in a month or two. He said Iran had been trying to develop nuclear weapons and long-range missiles for a long time. Netanyahu said Iran is a country that openly talks about the destruction of the United States and Israel. According to him, Iran's missile capabilities could have reached a position to attack the United States in the future. Netanyahu also said that the weakening of the Iranian regime would also affect organizations such as Hezbollah, Hamas and the Houthis. According to him, all these organizations depend on the support of Iran and if Tehran is weakened, their strength will also decrease. He claimed that before the war, Hezbollah had about one and a half lakh missiles and rockets. Israel has destroyed more than 90% of them, but the threat is still far from complete. Asked about Israel's image on social media and in the United States, Netanyahu said many foreign powers were creating an anti-Israel atmosphere through boat farms and fake accounts. He said it has had an impact especially on young Americans. Netanyahu also said Israel wants to gradually end U.S. military economic aid in the coming years. According to him, Israel now wants to be an equal partner of the United States rather than a country that receives help. He said a plan could be made to bring US military aid to zero in the next 10 years. At the same time, Israel wants to increase its partnership with the United States in areas such as intelligence, technology and missile defense.
