Iran on Mujtaba's claim of luxury property in London, says 'they have...'

Several media outlets in the UK shared information about the alleged properties of Iran's Supreme Leader Mujtaba Khamenei in London, to which Tehran has reacted and rejected these reports. The British media had claimed that these properties are in Palace Green. The Israeli Embassy is visible from here.

On this, Iran has said that Mujtaba does not have any property outside Iran or inside the country. He lives a simple life. India Today has quoted the statement of the Iranian Embassy as saying that Mujtaba Khamenei does not own any property like his respected father, neither outside Iran nor inside the country. The Iranian people are well aware of his simple and off-the-show lifestyle.

The Embassy further said that such reports create a wrong image of the life and character of the Supreme Leader. The Embassy has said that even today, the Iranian people are taking to the streets for 190 consecutive nights in support of him because of his simple life and their love and affection for him.

UK reports?
The Sunday Times, Daily Mail and The Telegraph UK had claimed that Mujtaba owns two luxury apartments worth around £36 million in front of the Israeli Embassy in London. These have now been put up for sale.

According to the Daily Mail report, the Supreme Leader owns these properties, which are sixth- and seventh-floor apartments, in Kensington, west London. Mujtaba has reportedly owned these apartments since 2014. Bloomberg News Channel had investigated the connection to their ownership.

Bloomberg's year-long investigation allegedly revealed that the Iranian leader also owns 11 luxury homes in Hampstead, North London. He owns it through a front man and a shell company registered in the Isle of Man. Apart from this, many claims were made in these media reports.
