The Israeli soldier has reportedly been killed during an abduction attempt by Hamas in southern Gaza’s Khan Younis on July 8. The 25-year old sergeant served as a heavy engineering machinery operator in IDF’s Southern Command’s combat engineering unitMeanwhile, an IDF combat soldier was found dead on the same day at a base in southern Israel in what appears to be an incident of suspected suicide, the military said.
