After the Iran war, there has been a crisis of oil and domestic gas (LPG) in many countries of the world. Pakistan is already struggling on the economic front. The Middle East crisis has completely broken its back. The Pakistan government has decided to increase the price of liquid fuel gas (LPG) by 34 per cent for the third time since the war began.
The increase in domestic gas prices in Pakistan has been notified by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) there, in which it has been reported that the price of 11.8 kg domestic cylinder has increased by Rs 923.71 to Rs 3,588.59. The reason for the increase in LPG prices has also been given in this notification.
Neighboring Country Facing Energy Crisis
The increase in domestic gas prices is a major setback for Pakistan, which is already facing an energy crisis and economic instability, while the increase in LPG prices will put an additional burden on the general public, especially the lower and middle class<>
Pakistan went into defensive mode only after the Iran war started. It had even ordered 50 per cent of government employees to work from home. To save energy, the office is now working only four days a week. Apart from this, schools were also asked to remain closed, they are being run on online mode.
US-Iran
Pakistan has been fluttering since the war in the Middle East. The reason for this is also because its oil reserves are also slowly on the verge of being exhausted. Not only this, about 45 lakh of its citizens also work in Gulf countries, who send billions of rupees to Pakistan. Pakistan is currently in the role of mediator between the US and Iran. In the coming days, a meeting between the US and Iranian delegations is expected to take place in Islamabad.
