Chhattisgarh's steel industry in crisis due to US-Iran war, job crisis due to decline in exports

The impact of the US-Israel-Iran war is also being seen in Chhattisgarh. In particular, the steel industry here is being affected a lot. Steel made in Chhattisgarh is exported to many countries of the world. Chhattisgarh is second in the country in steel production and exports after Odisha, but due to the closure of exports due to the war, now the clouds of crisis have started to cover the steel industry as well. Especially in the MSME sector, the situation is getting very bad. Due to the supply chain breakdown, exports are decreasing, due to which most of the steel plants in the state are producing up to 50 percent less. At the same time, there is also a crisis of employment of laborers.

In view of the continuously deteriorating situation, now the opposition is also appealing to the government to help small and medium scale industries. The Congress says that if relief is not given to the MSME sector soon, then industries will be destroyed, unemployment will also increase and it will also affect the development of Chhattisgarh.

Small and medium-scale industries are already reeling under a gas crisis. Now due to the stoppage of steel and iron exports, production is also continuously decreasing. On the other hand, exports by sea route are becoming increasingly expensive. If the situation does not improve soon, many small-scale industries in Chhattisgarh will be on the verge of closure
