serious allegations of a big scam in the door-to-door garbage collection operation in Mehsana Municipal Corporation. Rakesh Kumar Patel, a councillor from the ruling BJP, took to the streets against the contractor 'Nagesh Corporation'. The councillor wrote a letter to the municipal commissioner alleging that the agency had recklessly used 17 government tractor-trolleys and 24 tripper vehicles of the municipality to turn them into scraps. With the closure of these government vehicles, the municipal corporation is losing rental revenue of around Rs 5 lakh per month. Not only this, the 4 tripper vehicles that were stopped due to the sin of the agency have to be repaired by the municipality at the expense of the government at the expense of the people. Expressing suspicion that some responsible officials of the municipality were involved in the whole scam, the councillor demanded that a criminal offence be registered against the agency, the amount of damage should be recovered with interest and a strict departmental inquiry should be conducted against the negligent officials
