Cid Crime has done an important job in the 602 land scam of Morbi. The probe agency has arrested Hetalben Bhoraniya and Bharatbhai Degama. The court granted 5-day remand of both the accused. The case was registered at Morbi A division police station in March. A complaint was lodged against Shantaben Parmar and Targhari village sarpanch Sagar Phultariya. The case was handed over to CID crime as the complainant feared that a proper investigation would not be conducted under the control of Morbi SP. DySP R.S. An investigation is underway under the leadership of Patel. Action will be taken to seize the machinery and other material used in making the bogus documents during the investigation. In this scam, an attempt was made to grab land worth about Rs 35 crore without the knowledge of the original owner of the land. DySP Patel said several accused are yet to be arrested in the case. Further action will be taken as soon as the evidence is found. More revelations are likely to be made in the coming days.
