In Saurashtra cricket, the players of Bhavnagar dominate every age group, but the lack of the cricket ground was clearly visible. Now another facility on the cricket map in Bhavnagar is officially starting from Thursday. The three-day league match of the Jaihind Trophy Inter-District Cricket Tournament between Bhavnagar Rural Cricket Association and Botad District Cricket Association will begin at the Railway Cricket Stadium in Bhavnagar from Thursday. Preparations for the match have been finalized. State-of-the-art cricket facilities have been made available at the Railway Cricket Stadium, and arrangements have also been made for regular cricket training of children. The only cricket ground of Sir Bhavsinhji Cricket Club in Bhavnagar was still available where Saurashtra level cricket matches can be held, the University Cricket Ground is full size, but even after spending crores of rupees, the ground is in a dilapidated condition. Now a new cricket facility has been started at the Railways. Not a single Ranji Trophy match has been held in Bhavnagar since 1994 due to the lack of a full-size and BCCI rules-based cricket ground. Cricketers will benefit from more facilities
More cricket facilities will be available in Bhavnagar, which will benefit the cricket of the district. In the field of cricket, if players continue to play matches in addition to practice, it has a positive impact on their careers. Now with the new facility available at the Railway Cricket Stadium, it will be possible to organize more matches. - Sandeep Maniyar, Chairman of Selection Committee, Saurashtra Ranji Trophy Team
