Fastest ODI Century: 10 batsmen who scored the fastest century in ODIs, not a single Indian in the list

List of fastest centuries in ODIs

AB de Villiers (31 balls) – The record for scoring the fastest century in ODIs is in the name of AB de Villiers of South Africa. Who can forget that smashing innings, when De Villiers completed the century in 31 balls against the West Indies. De Villiers scored 149 runs in that match and hit 16 sixes and 9 fours.

Corey Anderson (36 balls) – The record for the fastest ODI century in the world was held by New Zealand's Corey Anderson for almost a year. He scored a century in 36 balls against the West Indies in 2014. About a year later, AB de Villiers broke his record.

Shahid Afridi (37 balls) – year was 1996, when Shahid Afridi completed a century in 37 balls against Sri Lanka. The record for the fastest ODI century was held by Afridi for nearly 18 years

Glenn Maxwell (40 balls) – Glenn Maxwell has scored the fourth fastest century in ODIs. He completed a century in 40 balls against the Netherlands in the 2023 World Cup. It is also the fastest century in ODI World Cup history

Asif Khan (41 balls)- The United Arab Emirates (UAE)'s Asif Khan scored a century in 41 balls against Nepal in 2023. He scored this century while batting at number-7.

Mark Boucher (44 balls) – Another South African legend in the list. Wicketkeeper-batsman Mark Boucher completed a century in 44 balls against Zimbabwe in 2006. Before AB de Villiers' 31-ball century, Boucher held the record for the fastest century for South Africa for nearly 9 years.

Brian Lara (45 balls) – Brian Lara caught everyone's attention not only in Tests but also with stormy batting. He scored a century in 45 balls against Bangladesh in 1999

Shahid Afridi (45 balls) - Apart from Jos Buttler, Shahid Afridi is only the second cricketer in the world who has scored a century by playing less than 50 balls in ODIs twice. Afridi scored a century in 45 balls against India in 2005.

Jesse Ryder (46 balls) – New Zealand's lefty stormy batsman Jesse Ryder's batting style created fear in the good bowlers. His 46-ball century came against the West Indies in 2014.

Jos Buttler (46 balls) – Former England captain Jos Buttler has also scored an ODI century in 46 balls. He did this feat against Pakistan in 2015
